Octavia is the Artistic Director and Conductor of LUMIA ensemble - a new Seattle-based vocal ensemble that works towards invigorating and diversifying the canon of choral repertoire. LUMIA produces concert experiences that aim to transport the listener to a joyful relationship with the spiritual and mystical other. Not quite choir, not quite performance art, but situated happily in the middle.
Compositions
With her background in choral music, Octavia also composes for voices, whether that be original sacred anthems, realizing figured bass for early soprano arias, or creating vocal arrangements or music from contemporary electronic and non-classical artists.
